Planchest is a small company specialising in database solutions for construction
industry clients which include architects Sheppard Robson, CZWG and Make with contractors
Sir Robert McAlpine Design Group, Wates and Vector Foiltec.
The original Planchest database was originally conceived by architect Peter Lord
and was launched in 1999. Stephen Solt worked initially for one of Planchest's clients
Sheppard Robson, but had a background in construction industry databases and IT
systems. A successful collaboration was born.
The roles were reversed when Peter was appointed as Administrative Partner at CZWG
Architects LLP, another of Planchest's clients and Stephen took over Planchest.
The original Planchest database is still regarded as the main company product but
database and IT systems consultancy, office data integration and management reporting
services are available separately or adding value to this simple and effective product.
