Form Help - Package Drawings

This form assists with the management of drawings on Package-based contracts.

About the Package Drawings Form

The use of the Package Drawings Form is entirely optional and many of PlanChest's clients work perfectly satisfactorily using just the Drawings, Drawing Issues, and Drawing Register forms to manage their projects.
You cannot add, delete, or edit any information on individual drawings using this form. This must done using the Drawings Form.
You can add Drawings from any Project Company to the Package Drawings list and any Drawing may be assigned to any number of Packages.

From the Home Page select Package Drawings then, in the grey banner at the top of the form, select the pull-down Project list and confirm that the Project is not already listed.
Type in the Project Number then press the 'Return' key. A dialogue box will appear asking whether you wish to 'Select a Project for which to create a new Package?'. Select 'Yes'. You will be presented with a list of all the Projects. Select the correct Project then press the 'Return' key and the Project Number/Name will be inserted, in red text, into the box in the grey banner.
Select the Packages: button, click to open the Packages dialogue box, then select Create a new package: .
Type in the first Package Number. This is the only 'required' field and will accept characters or numbers. Do not worry if it is incorrect, you can always return later and edit the information.
Click Apply changes: then close the Packages dialogue box and return to the Home Page . Proceed as for Creating a new Package Drawings List for a Project.

Before starting to create a new Package Drawings list for a Project ensure that the Drawings you wish to include are in the Drawings List for the relevant Project Company.
From the Home Page select Package Drawings then, in the grey banner at the top of the form, select the Project from the pull-down list.
Select the Packages: button, click to open the Packages dialogue box, then select Create a new package: .
Type in the Package Number. This is the only 'required' field and will accept characters or numbers. Enter any other relevant information then Click Apply changes: and close the Packages dialogue box.
To assign Drawings to a Package, select the relevant Package from the pull-down list in the grey banner at the top of the form. You will see a list of all the drawings currently assigned to that Package.
Select the Add drawings: button to open the Add Drawings dialogue box, then select the Company whose Drawings you wish to add. A complete list of all Drawings will be displayed.
Double-click the Record Selector for each Drawing that you wish to add and PlanChest will add this to the underlying Package Drawings list.
