Form Help - Project Form

You create new Projects, and edit existing Projects, using this Form.

Creating a new Project

  • Click the New Record Selector to generate a new blank form.

  • Type in the Project Number. New projects are automatically assigned an 'Active' Status.

  • Type in any other information that you wish. You can always return later to add more information, or edit existing information.

Data constraints

  • Project No: This is an alpha-numeric text field, limited to 7 characters. This is the only 'required' field for a Project.

  • Principal: This is limited to the list that you create in the Look-Up Table Company Principals Query.

  • Status: This is a Self-Building List.

  • Current RIBA stage: This is a Self-Building List.

    Reports

    For general information on Reports, refer to the PlanChest Guidance page.

    There are two options:

    • Project Directory (current): A comprehensive report listing all the Companies and Contacts working on the Project complete with their addresses, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses, etc. The 'current' report includes only those Companies and Contacts ticked as 'current' in the Project Directory. There are no user-configurable options for this report.

    • Project Directory (all) : As for the 'current' report except that all Companies and Contacts are shown including those not ticked as 'current' in the Project Directory.
